Maggy Luyten is a Belgian rock and metal vocalist, songwriter, and vocal coach whose voice has made a lasting mark on the international heavy music scene. Known for her powerful range, expressive delivery, and magnetic stage presence, she blends strength, emotion, and authenticity like few others can.
She gained international recognition through her work with acts such as Ayreon, Beautiful Sin, Nightmare, and Epysode, standing alongside renowned artists like Floor Jansen, Hansi Kürsch, Daniel Gildenlöw, Tom Englund, and Anneke van Giersbergen. Her unique vocal signature — combining melodic clarity with raw intensity — has earned her critical acclaim and a loyal fanbase worldwide.

Ayreon: Featured on 01011001 (2008), invited again for the Ayreon Universe Live (2017) and Ayreon Live – Beneath the Waves (2023), sharing the stage with legends of the symphonic and progressive metal scene.

Beautiful Sin: Lead vocalist for this project by Uli Kusch (ex-Helloween, Masterplan) alongside guitarist Jørn Viggo Lofstad (Pagan’s Mind). Their album The Unexpected was widely praised and featured on Nuclear Blast and AFM Records compilations.

Nightmare: Fronted the iconic French band from 2015–2017. The album Dead Sun (AFM Records) was produced by Joost van den Broek (Epica, Ayreon) and presented live at Hellfest, 70,000 Tons of Metal, Wacken Cruise, and Sabaton Open Air.

Epysode: Played a key role on Obsessions (2011), as vocalist, melody writer, and vocal coach. The project featured members of Pain of Salvation, Gnô, Masterplan, and Ayreon, and earned high praise for its ambitious concept and vocal performances.

Beyond the Bridge: Joined the German prog-metal band in 2014, touring with Serenity and opening for Fish (Marillion) alongside Herbie Langhans (Firewind, Avantasia).

THE PRIZE: Formed in 2020 with Christophe Godin, Ivan Rougny, and Aurel Ouzoulias (Mörglbl). Their debut album The Prize (2022) includes the singles Blood Red Ink, Funhouse Mirror, Backstreet Chronicles, and Scarier than You. They also appeared on TF1’s Game of Talents with a rock version of My Way and performed across Europe: Cosmo Apocalypse Fest (GR), Kraken Metal Fest, Female Metal Event (NL), Guitare en Scène, and more.

Akoustik Thrill: Acoustic duo with Christophe Godin, paying tribute to Hard & Heavy Rock classics in a stripped-down, soulful format.

Maggy & Friends: In 2018, Maggy gathered long-time collaborators (incl. Kelly Sundown, Steven Segarra, François Brisk, Yves Campion) to perform acoustic reinterpretations of Nightmare tracks, opening for Kip Winger in Grenoble.

Autrement Piaf: A personal and artistic tribute to Edith Piaf, blending rock, chanson, and storytelling. Designed for smaller venues, this unique performance allows Maggy to explore another side of her vocal and emotional artistry.
Coaching & Mentoring
Offstage, Maggy is the founder of Myriad Voice, a vocal coaching studio dedicated to empowering rock and metal singers. Her approach — direct, passionate, and experience-based — helps artists grow their voice, their confidence, and their presence. She also runs workshops, Studio Bootcamps, and mentorships for both emerging and professional performers.
