I covered it years ago and really wanted to have it here because it means something to me. No competition, pure entertainment 😏 First challenge : find a song that the big audience can relate to and give it as much sense as possible if performed with extreme vocals 🤔 I stumbled on « My Way » and it became obvious when I read the lyrics : « Regrets, I've had a few But then again, too few to mention I did what I had to do And saw it through without exemption For what is a man, what has he got? If not himself, then he has naught But through it all, when there was doubt I ate it up and spit it out I faced it all and stood tall And did it, did it my way » Second challenge : rearrange the song vocally and change the musical structure to fit the required length of performance. With help from Christophe Godin, we finally managed to match with the format. Third challenge : To sing live I needed musicians (there’s no way you can represent metal music on a backing track), so I asked my bandmates to accompany me in order to keep things authentic within the show. It allowed us to travel during the pandemic and spend some quality time in Paris.
