In October 2015, Maggy Luyten became the lead vocalist of French heavy metal band Nightmare. She recorded her first album with the band, Dead Sun, released in November 2016 through AFM Records.

The album marked a new chapter for Nightmare and gave Maggy the opportunity to step into the role of frontwoman for an established international metal band. She performed with the group at major festivals and venues, including Hellfest, Metaldays and Sabaton Open Air.

Maggy remained with Nightmare until 2019, leaving behind one of the most significant chapters of her career as a live metal vocalist.
